House Clearance Epping Case Study

Epping House Clearance Case Study

We took care of a house clearance in Epping last week.

The client was an elderly gentlemen and hoarder therefore the house and garden were just packed with stuff, most of which was unwanted items and waste, that we could assist in removing and disposing of.

However there were also a bunch of new and collectable items as well all still in great condition and could be used to sell and offset his prices.

The street he lived on didn't have much access and getting a van down the road was a struggle, luckily there was an alley at the side of the house and with us parked at the other end we could carry the stuff through to the van. Luckily all the items we took fit through the alley.

As the client was elderly they struggled clearing the waste and items and most of the rubbish accumulated in the garden, which was quite large and spacious, and we had a lot to clear. Luckily we were able to provide a rubbish clearance as well.

It took a while but it was best that all rubbish was cleared from the property first as it would make it easier to sort through the items in the house without any rubbish in the way.

There were some spare materials and tools at the side of the shed which most were to go as they were damaged or old. But anything still intact and good condition stayed.

We put all the non recyclable waste into a skip ready to be disposed of.

Once all the rubbish was out the way we could work on the house clearance and sort through the wanted and unwanted items. Any wanted items would be put aside and out the way and any unwanted items, if valuable, would go to us.

The property contained lots of items the client had collected over the years all ranging in age and type. Many of the items were rather interesting and we were fortunate to have them.

An item from the property was this microscope still clearly in a great condition even though the item was quite old, barely been used and useful as we would be able to sell it on and likely to fetch a high price in our second hand retail store.

Another couple of items we collected from the house clearance were these model trains which are quite collectable, the client had lots of these type of trains and not enough space to keep them so we were fortunately able to take a few off his hands.

Another item given to us by the client was this old watch, still working and looks great.

We were lucky with this house clearance as we picked up so many valuable items that built up quite a lot of stock in our store.

This house clearance had many elements and also required a rubbish clearance as well. We are glad that we helped our client rid of the clutter in the property and in return we received a few collectable and valuable items for our second hand store.

"The house is now a lot clearer and I am very pleased with the job, It's a lot easier to get around now everything is out the way."
